The aim of the course is to train PPL(A)
holders to the level of proficiency necessary for the issue of
a JAR Commercial Pilot’s Licence.
The flight training requirements for
applicants without an Instrument Rating comprises a minimum of
25 hours of dual flight instruction, including 10 hours of
instrument instruction. Applicants with a valid Instrument
Rating will require a minimum of 15 hours dual flight
instruction under Visual Flight Rules.
Applicants without a Night Rating will have
the option of completing the required training at the same time
as the Modular CPL(A) course, with an additional 5 hours night
flight.
The training is completed on our Piper
Arrow and our Flight and Navigation Procedure
Trainer (FNPTII). The avionics fit in both the single and the
twins is virtually identical, including Garmin GNS430. This
significantly eases the transition from the Arrow to the Seneca
when moving on to the Instrument Rating.
We also offer a combined CPL and Multi
Engine Class Rating, consisting of a minimum 28 hour course, 15
hours on the Piper Arrow, 5 hours on the FNPT II and 8 hours on
the Piper Seneca, with the flight test being carried out in the
Seneca as a combined GFT and Multi Engine Class Rating test.
This enables the issue of the CPL with a Multi Engine Class
Rating.
